Allama Iqbal is a famous poet and philosopher in British India. He is known as the 'Spiritual Father of Pakistan' and 'Spiritual Leader of Pakistan'. His poems, speeches, and philosophy have been translated into many languages and have attracted a large number of fans all over the world.
Allama Iqbal was born in 1877 in a village named Mukhtar. His father was a farmer and his mother was a housewife. He studied in a local school and then in an Islamic school. He was influenced by the works of Sir Syed Tawoor Ali Shah and Nusrat Ali Shah, and later on he became a religious fanatic. He started writing at an early age and his poetry books began to be published in the 1930s. His poems, which are mostly based on religious concepts, are written in the Persian language and are highly romantic. He also wrote in Urdu. His most famous poems are 'Tarjuma' and 'Haad'.
